VMware is Looking for Great Build Infrastructure Engineers!

VMware, the industry leader in high-performance, enterprise-class x86 virtualization technology, is looking for some organized and detail-oriented Build Infrastructure Engineers to play a critical role in VMware's Linux strategy.
In this position, you will be involved in building, testing and maintaining an enterprise quality Linux distribution, and building up an automation framework around it.

Job Requirements:

* Passion for Linux and open-source software.
* 3+ years of experience in software development roles on Linux platforms.
* Must have in-depth knowledge of shell scripting.
* Must know Python (preferred) or Perl scripting.
* Must know Perforce (preferred), Subversion or CVS.
* Must have coding experience in C or C++.
* Must have in-depth understanding of makefiles.
* Must have experience building GNU autoconf/automake based open-source software on Linux platform.
* Must have in-depth understanding of RPM packaging. Experience in building and maintaining a YUM repository highly desirable.
* Must have knowledge of XML, and the technologies to process it.
* Knowledgeable in the Linux development toolchain (compilers, linkers, debugger). Experience in building cross-compilers is highly desirable.

For new graduates, or candidates with not much experience in this field, passion and capability to learn far outweighs prior job experiences.
